The Panel

Cy Kellet

Cy Kellett is the host of Catholic Answers Live, one of the most popular programs in the history of Catholic radio. He formerly hosted The Bright Side with Cy Kellett on the Immaculate Heart Radio network. For more than a decade Kellett was editor of San Diego's diocesan newspaper, The Southern Cross. 

Before that, he taught high school and spent several years working with the homeless mentally ill in Massachusetts while living in a Catholic Worker house.  Cy and his wife, Missy, live in San Diego and have three children.

  

 

Fr. Sam Medley

Fr. Sam Medley has been a priest with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) for nearly 18 years.  He was ordained to the priesthood in July of 2008.  He’s currently serving at the St. Ann Mission parish in North Dakota and previously was the Director of Our Lady of Corpus Christi in Texas and has been a chaplain for local schools and convents.

He’s travelled to 40 countries and has been a professor in various international locations.   Fr. Sam is a popular voice on the Guadalupe Radio Network, serving as a regular guest on GRN’s The Quest program and also as a weekly contributor to the GRN’s Morning Joy program.        

 

Fr. Mitch Pacwa

Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. is a well-known Jesuit priest, biblical scholar, and EWTN television and radio host. He is best recognized for hosting popular shows like EWTN Live and serving as a prolific author and speaker on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) 

Fr. Mitch Earned a Ph.D. in Old Testament Studies from Vanderbilt University. He holds Master of Divinity and S.T.B. degrees from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. Fr. Mitch speaks at least 12 languages, including ancient Biblical languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek) and multiple modern languages.  This year he’s celebrating his 50th anniversary of the priesthood, having been ordained a priest in 1976.

 
   

 

Toya Hall

Toya Hall serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Guadalupe Radio Network.  She is the founder of La Promesa Foundation and the Guadalupe Radio Network and has previously served as Vice President of the network.    Beginning with a single radio station in Midland TX in 2000, Toya has been instrumental in building the GRN to becoming the largest EWTN Radio affiliate with a total of 48 radio stations reaching a population of 31 million souls along with the expansion of digital platforms that reach the entire world with the Gospel message.  

 

Transmitter of the Faith Award Recipient: Fr. Alfonse Nazzaro

We are happy to also honor a very special priest with the Transmitter of the Faith Award, Fr. Alfonse Nazzaro of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and school in Farmers Branch. As Pastoral Administrator, Fr. Alfonse works with parish school and leadership to focus on fostering a Christ-centered environment that encourages wonder, growth and mission-driven excellence.
