About the GRN Academy
What is the GRN Academy?
The GRN Academy is an initiative of the Guadalupe Radio Network to educate our listeners and supporters on the foundational concepts of the Catholic Church. GRN provides the structure and framework to offer short courses covering the philosophical, theological, and practical aspects of Catholocism.
How long has the GRN Academy been in existence?
The first session of courses will begin in September 2025.
What is the purpose or mission of the GRN Academy?
The purpose of the GRN Academy is to help individuals grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith and Catholic culture. The ultimate mission is to help individuals grow in their faith for the salvation of souls through Jesus Christ and His Church.
Does the GRN Academy offer any certifications or degrees?
Learners will receive a missionary certification for each course they successfully complete.

How do I register for a course?
What is the structure and format of each course?
Each GRN Academy course is 7 weeks long, and taught live via video streaming (currently Google Classroom). Classes typically meet once per week for 50 minutes, for seven weeks. Each class session consists of live lecture and some discussion (depending on the topic and number of students). Instructors may offer supplemental readings as needed. Instructors will record attendance for each session. Learners who miss 2 or more course sessions will forfeit the certificate of completion for that course.
How long does each course last?
Courses are 7 weeks long and consist of seven 50-minute sessions meeting once per week.
Will the GRN Academy add new courses in the future?

What do I receive upon completion of a course?
Learners who attend at least 5 scheduled sessions of a course will receive a missionary certification signed by the instructor, the President of GRN, and the Chief Operating Officer of GRN.
What is the academic calendar schedule (semester, quarter)?
The GRN Academy academic calendar consists of two 7-week sessions during each of the traditional academic spring and fall semesters. This results in a total of four 7-week sessions per year. They are designated as Spring I, Spring II, and Fall I and Fall II.
Eligibility and Prerequisites
Who is eligible to take GRN Academy courses?
Anyone 18 years or older is eligible to take our courses, with the understanding that all courses are taught from a Catholic point of view.
Are there any prerequisites for taking courses?
There are no formal prerequisites. At the discretion of the instructor, a specific course may require the completion of another GRN Academy course. This and any other requirements will be clearly defined in the Course Catalog.
Registration, Tuition and Fees
How much does it cost to take a GRN Academy course?
Tuition for each course costs $149. A registration fee of $25 will be charged when registering for one or more courses per 7 week session.
Are there additional fees when registering?
A registration fee of $25 will be charged when registering for one or more courses per 7 week session. Instructors may recommend additional books or other media at their discretion.
How do I register for GRN Academy courses?
Is there a limit to how many courses I can register?
No. You may register for as many courses per session as your schedule allows.
What is the policy on tuition refunds?
Full refunds are available up until three business days prior to the start of each session. At the close of business (5:00 PM US Central Time) on the third business day prior to the start of each session, tuition refunds will no longer be available. The closing date for refunds for each session will be specified in the Academic Calendar for each session. Note that registration fee is non-refundable.
Do you offer any discounts or scholarships?
Discounts and scholarships may be offered in association with certain GRN events. These discounts will be specified in the official announcement for each event.
Faculty
What are the qualifications of the faculty instructors?
Each of the GRN Academy faculty are required to possess demonstrated experience in teaching and studying their respective topics. Faculty are also required to be faithful to the Magisterium and Tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
